Cheryl Mifflin

Cheryl Mifflin is Vice-President of Accu-Guard Security Systems Inc. and has been a resident of Grimsby for 24 years.
Along side her husband Brian Mifflin (President), they established Accu-Guard in 1984. Accu-Guard protects thousands of homes and industrial and commercial premises throughout the Greater Hamilton and Niagara Region. Accu-Guard provides installation, monitoring, and maintenance of burglar alarms, video surveillance, recording equipment, and intercom systems.
Over the past 20 years she has been involved in several ventures and was a recipient of a Niagara Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1997.
Cheryl is the Chair of the Communications Committee and the Community Producer of "Chamber Chat" a monthly television program which highlights Chamber Members and Chamber Events on Cogeco Cable. She is also Co-Chair of the Annual Events Committee and assists with the planning of The Citizen of the Year Awards, The Annual Golf Tournament, The Business Awards of Excellence, and The Annual General Meeting.

Connie has been a long time resident of Grimsby. She resides in town with her husband Mike, son Nathan and daughter Cassie.
She has enjoyed a 22 year career in the financial industry. The first part of career was working in the banking industry. Robert has enjoyed a 31 year career in the automobile business. As a second generation dealer, he continues to guide the dealership through exciting times, most recently completing a major facility expansion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the business.
Robert worked closely with his father in all facets of the operation, from Service and Body Shop technician to Sales manager.
This depth of experience has proven invaluable as he relates to his customers on a daily basis. During 1990, the torch passed from father to son when General Motors welcomed Robert as the Dealer. He maintains it is a pleasure to remain active in the Grimsby community, which has been home to the dealership since 1955.
Currently working with the Annual Events committee of the Chamber, he enjoys organizing the various functions including the Grimsby Chamber Golf Tournament, Citizen of the Year Awards and Outstanding Business Achievement Awards.
Robert is an active private pilot who loves to share his passion for flying. He earned his wings in 1979 and is a 25 year Milestone member of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association.

Wendy Watt
Niagara West Tourism Network
Wendy is Second Vice-President and Chairman of the Information Services Committee.
Wendy retired in the Fall of 2003 after serving four terms on the Grimsby Town Council, representing Ward Two.
As the Chamber representative on the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee to council where Wendy's focus is tourism, as well as serving on the Downtown Revitalization committee.
Wendy is the Chairman of the Niagara West Tourism Association and Membership Secretary for the Grimsby Historical Society.

Ken Hicks is pleased to bring many years of experience to the Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He has taught business courses at Seneca, Sheridan and Centennial Colleges and has been an active member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association, Toastmasters International, Association of Independent Consultants, Business Network International and other Chambers of Commerce.
Kenneth is founder and president of Workplace Safety Group, a company providing on-line WHMIS and Health &
Safety programs and consulting services. His company re-distributes many Canadian designed courses,
and creates customized training courses to meet the individualized needs of clients.
Most recently (2005-2006) Ken served as Chair of the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee (GEDAC) bringing to life a focused plan of economic development for Grimsby.

Anita Hurst has been a Grimsby and District Chamber member since 1998. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2004. She is the chair person for the Annual Events committee as well as helping with the chamber golf tournament.
Anita and her husband Aaron are celebrating their tenth year as the owners of Balloons for all Occasions in Grimsby. Anita is Niagara's first certified balloon artist.

Shirley has been a long time member of the board of directors for the Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce. She serves on the Information Services Committee of the Chamber and is responsible for maintaining and analyzing the information gathered by the staff on the source of travelers and their interests and the distribution of brochures.
Shirley was the Member of Parliament for Lincoln for 9 years and since retiring she has been an active volunteer in the community. Currently in addition to serving on the Grimsby Chamber board she is Vice Chair of the Grimsby Museum Board, a director of Niagara West Tourism Association and Chair of the Niagara West Community Hospice Board where she also serves as the Fund Raising chair for the building of McNally House Hospice in Grimsby. She is also the convenor of the West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary annual fund raising fashion show.
